The Rare Material Affinity Group seeks to make use of the collective expertise across institutions to discuss needs and challenges particular to rare materials, and to coordinate the development of resources to support our work. The intent of this session is to hold a broader discussion of some of the challenges experienced by the rare materials community and provide an opportunity for the attendees to interact with one another to discuss linked data projects/initiatives with a particular focus on rare materials. The discussion topics will also include continuing development of rare materials profiles in Sinopia and its relationship with metadata standards.
